Our Approach to Care

A Distinct Method for Every Hide

  1. A specialist inspecting a leather piece at intake at Sir Galloway.

    Intake and inspection

    Collected by your driver or received at any of our six locations. A specialist evaluates the hide, lining, hardware, and any prior treatment, establishing the appropriate method from the outset.

  2. A leather piece cleaned by the method matched to the hide.

    Cleaning

    Solvent, hand, or specialist process, matched to the hide and paced to the material. Leather and fur follow their own cycle, with a slower, more deliberate process than traditional textiles.

  3. Leather conditioned and finished to restore suppleness.

    Conditioning and finishing

    The leather is conditioned to restore its natural suppleness, the lining carefully attended to, and the finish renewed. The garment is then shaped on a form matched to its construction, preserving its original line.

  4. A conditioned leather piece ready for return at Sir Galloway.

    Return

    Following a final review, the finished piece is returned by driver or held for collection at any of our six locations.
